Weed?

Having never played or cared about Asssassin's creed, I was hoping that there would be at least SOMETHING related to cannabis in "Assassin's Weed". The title's a little bit misleading.

But, to be fair, I'll let you know what I thought of the animation, rather than whine about my expectations. The voice acting was alright, but you could work on the pacing a little. I wasn't too sure if the purple bird was talking since it used the EXACT same voice as the Assassin who was talking moments earlier, but I assumed it was due to the wacky tweening that was slapped on to it. The animation wasn't phenominal, but I gotta give you respect for avoiding the "paper doll" effect and actually drawing the assassin more than once.

Decent movie, congrats on the front page. Maybe google for a rhyming dictionary next time, because there was nothing "weed" about this movie.

Incredible. You don't see much come through NG with such an original art style. Fluid Animation, Detailed backdrops, and impeccable choice of music make for an entry worthy of my max score.

Incredible

Excellent Artwork. Excellent use of animation. Excellent Nutshell version of Monkey Island. Excellent Voices.

Loved it. I feel sorry for everyone who hasn't played this game through, they don't get how truly awesome this is. I just relived the game without having to find an emulator.

Have a ten to boost the average.

Huge Improvement

I only come to newgrounds every so often these days, and I've only caught one or two of your Blockhead episodes, but this episode is a gigantic improvement in every respect. The dialogue, animation, sound, and humour are all way better. The animation is much slicker than most flash cartoons.

Blockhead's an interesting character. He reminds me of a combination of Yakko Warner, Ren and Stimpy, Tom Green, and the Wal-Mart Smiley face.

Excellent job on building a reputable series, getting a front page, and improving your craft. I'm sure we'll all see awesome stuff from you in the future.

So.. much... potential.

You've probably heard it before, so I'm going to help drill the points home.

Gorgeous graphics and animation. Right up there with the best web 'toons around. You've got some creative animation shortcuts that really impressed me, not only can you keep things "fresh" by changing the "camera" angle, but you can save yourself having to animate a character's feet for several seconds. Tricky, clever, I love it.

Excellent use of music. Too many people neglect the audio portion of their animations. Background music (when properly chosen) can make or break a scene.

TERRIBLE voice acting and recordings. Learn what a compressor is and how it can help your vocal sound. No, it has nothing to do with audio bit rate, it compresses audio's dynamic range (if that means nothing to you, don't worry, you can still learn to use compressors effectively). Compressors can make your voices sound much less thin and can definitely help them cut through any background music/FX much clearer.

Voice acting: get inside your characters or get a new voice actor.

Not ripping on you, buddy. Again, you ooze potential and these are just some friendly, constructive tips to help you better your craft. Keep it up.

It's decent... for flash

You need to work on Pacing. Don't record each phrase separately and glue them back together in Flash. Perhaps establish a human pace of conversation in one large audio file, and animate to it. I'd strongly suggest adding some music, and purchase a better mic for vocals, because the soundtrack was my biggest problem with this piece. Don't get me wrong, it's got potential, but I'm also not a fan of the "paper doll" style of animation, where you draw all the characters' limbs separately and tween the crap out of them.

I'm trying not not to bash. I saw "Rude Boy" and expected a cartoon even vaguely related to ska (I was even prepared to put up with Third Wave ska!) It's obvious quite a bit of time was spent on this, so you deserve more constructive criticism than one of those "It's ghey/It sux" reviews.

Excellent job on the Front Page, but if you want to be above typical Newgrounds material, consider paying more attention to the audio, because it has an incredible impact on the piece as a whole.

Ick.

I like this song, but when I saw this video... ewww. Santa isn't some teenaged Japanese boy. You're dude looked straight out of final fantasy. You need more shit happening in sync with the music. Pulsating moonlight ain't gunna cover up the otherwise cheap Japanese animation style.

Awesome

I really like it, the music, the pictures, the narrator, it just all worked together so damn well.

Also.. POST THAT FUCKING SONG ONLINE SOMEWHERE. It rocked my socks. Try some music service like ic-musicmedia.com or something. I want that song, dammit.

IC-Musicmedia.com had no METAL section, so they're not gonna work. I sent a link to the email address in your profile.

oh god.

I'm gunna have to agree with majinmoo here. Suicide is fucking dumb. And this balding middle-aged character sounded like a 12 year old. Also, dont use the book dropping sound effect for when his body drops.

Graphics - Mostly badly drawn
Sound - Cheesy music, bad voice acting
Plot - You're trying way to hard to be "dramatic"

Brilliant

I LOVED Chipmunkz Gangsta Rap. This, too, kicked bags of ass.

Graphics = Awesome
Animation = Incredible
Song = Funny, but one more verse would have made it completely perfect

Keep it up, man. This shit is AWESOME.

I just got my worst movies removed form Newgounds. Hooray for me
